MUSEUM

BANNERS

the brief
For this project, I was tasked with designing a series of banners for a museum exhibition, with each student assigned a specific design era to explore. I was given the grunge era, which is known for its raw, rebellious, and DIY aesthetic.

the outcome
I aimed to capture a youthful, gritty feel that reflected the essence of the era by drawing inspiration from underground zines, distressed textures, and a newspaper collage style. The design embraces imperfect layering, bold type, and a muted, moody palette to evoke the anti-establishment spirit of grunge while still being impactful in a large scale museum setting.
